DI sparked my growth in STEM and my love for problem solving. With a team of 6 strangers in 4th grade, I learned all types of mechanical and theatrical skills that brought our team to 2 victories at the international level. We also learned how to think creatively and work as a team. Each year, our skit turned a very deep topic such as individuality and mental health and turned it into a touching skit that wowed our audiences. We also gathered our community around our internationally ranked team and started a Mental Health Movement called Hands4Help to break the stigma in our small town.
