Seminar for Top Engineering Prospects (STEP)

STEP was a week-long summer camp I went to at Purdue over the 2023 summer. While there, I worked on CAD, Teamwork Skills, Arduino, Computer Programming, Mechatronics, and 3D Printing. With 3 people I had never met before that week, we quickly formed bonds and fed off of each other’s strengths in order to tackle every challenge thrown at us effectively. At the conclusion of the week, we were given the “Best Team“ award for our teamwork and consistency in results that we produced throughout the week.

DRAGON ROLLER COASTER

At the Purdue Seminar for Top Engineering Prospects (STEP), my group created a successfully working roller coaster out of K’NEX which included a 630 degree turn, a full loop, and a hill of 6 inches. We also measured the speed of our car using 2 ultrasonic sensors at various points to measure the energy loss. Our coaster was very creative and featured a consistent theme.

Along with the K’NEX, I designed a themed cart to keep with the design of the coaster. I designed it not to be functional, but to be creative. The entire design was done on Inventor, and I concluded this themed adventure by 3D printing the Dragon Slayer Cart
